The Relationship Between the Industry-Level Economic Development and Human Development in Latvia

Abstract Research purpose. There is some empirical evidence of the relationship between economic and human development at a country level. Human most frequently proxied by Development Index (HDI). Considering fact that HDI measure covering fields several Sustainable Goals (SDGs), overwhelming idea research to determine impact sector on achievement SDGs. The goal establish if there development, using Latvian statistics, Latvia. Design / Methodology Approach. paper uses different types regression analyses longitudinal data indicators in sectors economy. sample includes industry-level eight industries collected from 2010 2020. analysis was applied as dependent variable, selected set industry variables assessed group independent (both individual for aggregated level). included turnover companies, number added value, total personal costs employees full-time employment. Findings. findings partly support proposal relates because factors growth have formed statistically strong with (added costs, employment), while others not (turnover companies). proven relationships had positive negative direction suggests bidirectional depending specific indicators.
